Ever hear the line “if there’s a will, there’s a way!”
What about “You can’t keep a good man down!”
How about… “It ain’t over til the fat lady sings!”
Okay, okay…I just threw that one in for grins!
But seriously…the will is a terrible thing to waste—I have seen it make a difference in someone’s life—willing them to get up, get moving, get LIVING again!
One of the best examples is my friend Suzann—now there’s a lady with a will!

Points2Ponder  Why do we make comments like “They will never recover from this” or “there’s no way they will ever see the light of day again!” Why do we forget how much WILL has to do with whether they do recover or do see the light of day! When’s the last time we let WILL just do his job?
Suzann is the reason I am writing today. She was a dear friend to me after my heart attack—she nudged me to write—she asked me repeatedly, knowing that… I had something to say. I just didn’t realize it at that time. Suzann knew—if she didn’t give up on me—someday I would not give up on me either—and I would let my friend WILL take over—and voila!

Twice a week blogs; Twice a month author interview columns for Xulon Press; Two books now published—One Unexpected Event: AFTERMATH just released on Amazon and Barnes and Noble, along with paperback, and…I have completed my first murder mystery called SummerHouse: A Murder in Savannah! And I just spent a day in Beaufort, SC doing research for the next murder mystery.

All because…my friend Suzann never gave up on me—and my old friend WILL finally found a way!

This past year was a rough year for her. Talk about One Unexpected Event? Her health took a sudden turn for the worse, with two unexpected surgeries and a whole lot to come back from… it was really touch and go at times, when we who loved Suzann wondered “will she ever be herself again? Can she possibly recover from all of this and be our Suzann again?”

And we prayed, and we hoped and we never gave up… on Suzann.
I got a text this past week from my old friend Suzann. I say my “old friend” because—this was the OLD Suzann we haven’t heard from in almost a year!
This is the Suzann who has decided that she wants to reinvent her online clothing store GrannyZann (on Etsy.com and at www.grannyzann.blogspot.com)--
My “old” friend Suzann feels like she wants to design and sell “cool” things for special needs kids so they can have clothes designed for their special needs and are still COOL!

What a great idea and… one that has a market and has a real need in our world today!
My “old” friend Suzann decided that!
And as if that weren’t enough…
My “old” friend Suzann texted me again with a job opportunity that looks really promising. You see, Suzann hasn’t been able to work in almost a year—but Old Suzann is BACK!
She has an interview and is excited about the prospects and possibilities that lie ahead for her as she slowly regains her life back… inch by inch…she has come back to us!
And we just stand up and shout “Welcome Back!”
All because we know… God restored her health—we give HIM glory for that—HE is the original WILL in every situation.
But… after all that HE does…WE still NEED TO DO our part
We need to PUT FEET TO OUR FAITH!
And let WILL lead us and remind us of all that we have left to do…IF we will just GET UP and DO IT!
Suzann taught me…
I bet she inspires you…
You find a “WILL”… and HE’ll find a WAY!
