Reflections of...GOD!

                              "Yes! I'm Just THAT happy!

                      Reflections Of… God!

                                                     by Alan P. Scaglione

You ever have a day that just… blows you away?
The way you could have never predicted how it would turn out…based on how it started!
The kind of day that you look back upon, at the end of the day, and go…WOW! God really had a plan, now didn’t He?
I had one of those days this past Wednesday.
I had had a confrontation with my manager the night before, and it didn’t sit well with me.
For those who know me well, you know… there’s nothing passive/aggressive about me.
Nah—I’m more a “Take the bull by the horns” kinda guy.
I say I am a reformed Type “A” personality – reformed because, I really try to pray the “A” away!
My closest friends and family know that I have a name for that side of me—“Bulldozer Bob!” (BB)
Yep—He doesn’t push first, but he does push back and he definitely pushes down.
When the scripture speaks  “For I am crucified with Christ, nevertheless I live, yet not I, but Christ lives in me…”
I crucify ol’ BB every day—and most days, he stays on the cross—but somedays??? Hey, I’m human, just like you!
Funny thing is—some of my family refers to BB in conversation.
I’ve had them say “I almost called you to see if I could get Bulldozer Bob to come out for a while and help me handle something!”
And another said, “Hey, you’d be proud of me today—I channeled Bulldozer Bob when I was handling a situation—I sounded like you!”
I just laugh—underneath all of that, I know there’s a compliment somewhere!
Back to that confrontation.
You know… we only talk about Christians being meek and mild and just like a dove—but the scripture also says…
“Be ye angry and sin not!” and also “For the violent (bold and strong) take it by force!”
I am definitely more warrior than dove!
At the end of the confrontation, my manager said, ”and you don’t login into “sametime”(an online chat program) when I have asked you to do that!”
I went right to my desk, called the Tech Support people and asked them if they could make this “chat program” come up when I signed on in the morning.
They immediately fixed it so it would come up in the morning, but the guy said “It won’t come up now because you have to restart your computer—it will start up tomorrow when you log on to your computer!”
No problem—I didn’t care either way—of so I thought.
Tomorrow was soon enough. Or was it?
Around 2pm, my system crashed—I had to restart my system.
You guessed it! “Sametime” came up with my restart.
No problem—let it sit there—I don’t ever use it, but now—at least it’s up and running.
I went to break at 3:15, and I said a prayer “Lord please let me hear something today about this thing I’ve been praying AND fasting about!”
And I went back inside.
At 4:32—ON SAMETIME—someone contacted me about the thing I had been praying about!
They used SAMETIME! The same “chat program” that was not supposed to be up and running until tomorrow, but… my system crashed, so …RESTART!
Within 30 minutes of using Sametime—God had answered my prayer, and my fasting was rewarded in a way I had prayed and hoped for!
Did I mention that Wednesday was the LAST Day of my 21 day Fast?
Did I mention that two years ago, on the LAST day of my 21 day Fast… God healed my heart!
All because…I was found faithful.
Psalm 37:4 says “Delight yourself in the Lord, and HE will give you the desires of your heart!”
First delight—then desire!
Seems so simple but… I had to put in the 21 days of sacrifice to earn His reward for faithfulness!
You ready to put in the work?
I can tell you, it’s days like Wednesday that make you know—He is a rewarder of those who diligently seek Him!”
Diligent isup off the couch moving” for His Kingdom relationship —Diligent is NOTchannel surfing, armchair watching” spectator religion!

Hey… you don’t work, you don’t eat!
